Things to Know for the 2017 WR Independence Day Celebration




The city of Warner Robins' Independence Day Celebration will be Friday, June 30, 2017. The event will be in the parking lot of McConnell Talbert Stadium so please plan accordingly. 

Please be advised that Demon Valley Drive will be closed beginning at noon until after the event. Demon Valley Drive will be open for pedestrian traffic ONLY, you will not be able to drive or park on the road. 

There are 10 designated parking areas:
-Union Grove Baptist Church Field
-C.B. Watson School (Handicap/VIP ONLY) There are limited Handicap spaces for the event, please arrive early to secure your parking space. VIP must have a valid pass to gain access to the VIP lot
-Warner Robins High School (Pickup/Drop off ONLY)
-Pearl Stephens School Area
-Rumble Academy
-Sacred Heart Catholic Church Complex
-Robins Federal Credit Union 
-Middle Georgia State University
-Commercial Circle Area
-City of Warner Robins Municipal Complex


Venue Gates open at 6PM for public entry:
-MLK Blvd
-S. Davis Dr. Pedestrian Bridge
-S. Davis Dr. gate

Concert begins at approximately 8PM
Fireworks begin at approximately 10PM

South Davis Drive between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Demon Valley Drive will be closed at approximately 10PM during the fireworks.  

Those in the venue or near the venue at the time of the fireworks should be aware that their will be a brief safety check of the fireworks canisters immediately following the fireworks show. Please be patient as we wait for safety clearance for the safety and security of you and your family. Once the fireworks area has been thoroughly checked the venue gates and South Davis Drive will be open to exit the venue. For your safety please do not walk in the street, but instead remain on the sidewalk. There will be heavy pedestrian and vehicular traffic in the area. 

In order to make sure everyone leaves the venue safely and quickly Warner Robins Police Officers will be directing traffic. Please be mindful that there is a traffic plan in place and an officer will direct you to the most efficient path of travel for everyone involved. 

You CANNOT bring these items into the venue:
-drones
-glass bottles
-firearms
-alcohol
-rolling coolers
-hard-sided coolers
-pets
-outside food and drink
-large umbrellas
-tents

You CAN bring these items into the venue:
-small, soft-sided coolers with sealed drinks inside 
-lawn chairs
-diaper bags
-small coolers for medical purposes such as insulin or baby formula

**For your safety, ALL items will be searched and persons are subject to search.**
