Theft By Taking Arrests

On Monday, January 6, 2014 at 4:25 A.M. Sergeant Scott Webb of the Warner Robins Police Department observed a suspicious vehicle turning onto Radio Loop.  Sergeant Webb proceeded to check the businesses on Radio Loop when the car he previously saw pulled out of the parking lot of Chandler Collision and then drove off at a high rate of speed into the Wellston Ridge Apartment complex.  The occupants of the vehicle got out of the car and fled on foot.  Auto parts that belong to Chandler Collision were discovered inside of the car. 

Sergeant Webb was able to apprehend one of the suspects, identified as Benjamin Neill (22 years old, Bonaire).  He was taken to the Warner Robins Law Enforcement Center where Detective Mark Wright of the Criminal Investigations Division interviewed him.  Neill was charged with Theft By Taking. 

A continued investigation by Detective Wright revealed that a second person, identified as Samuel Rumph (38 years old, Warner Robins), was also involved in this incident.  He was arrested and charged with Theft by Taking.

Neill and Rumph were transported to the Houston County Jail. 

This case remains an active investigation.

WRPD Seeking Robbery Suspect

On Friday, December 13, 2013 at 8:00 P.M. officers of the Warner Robins Police Department responded to 823 North Houston Road in reference to a robbery.

Preliminary investigation revealed a male entered the store, took money out of the cash register, and then ran out of the store.

An undisclosed amount of money was taken.  No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a black male, medium build, approximately 6’01” to 6’02” in height, wearing a black hoodie and dark pants.

Homicide Investigation


On Thursday, October 2013 at 9:48 P.M. officers of the Warner Robins Police Department responded to 324 Curtis Street in reference to a deceased person.

Upon arrival officers located a female inside the vacant house deceased. 

The female’s identity is being withheld until the next of kin is notified.

This incident is being investigated as a homicide.

No other information is available at this time and will be released as it becomes available.

WRPD To Host Virtual Ride-Along This Friday!



You are invited to patrol the streets with an officer from the Warner Robins Police Department – via Twitter!

The Warner Robins Police Department is holding a “Virtual Ride-Along” via Twitter on Friday, September 13th from 6:00 P.M. – 10:00 P.M.  Public Information Officer (PIO) Tabitha Pugh will be riding with a patrol officer and tweeting calls for service, arrests, and everything else the officer encounters during his shift.  Some tweets will include pictures and videos to give the viewer a more visual experience. 

The “Virtual Ride-Along” is designed to give the community a glimpse into the daily life of a police officer patrolling the streets of Warner Robins.  Citizens can view the ride-along by following @WarnerRobinsPD on Twitter. 

PIO Pugh and the officer will be taking questions during the ride-along from Twitter users who mention @WarnerRobinsPD in their tweet.  They will answer questions as time permits.

The Warner Robins Police Department launched their social media platforms in March and April 2012.  The Facebook account has received over 4,500“Likes” and the Twitter account has over 1,000 followers.

Bank Robbery Incident - Suspect Photographs Included


 


On Monday, May 6, 2013 at 2:18 P.M. officers of the Warner Robins Police Department responded to 121 Osigian Boulevard, HEA Federal Credit Union, in reference to a robbery.

Preliminary investigation revealed a male walked into the business, handed the teller a note demanding money, and then fled the business on foot.

No injuries were reported.

Burglary Arrests

On Friday, May 3, 2013 at 4:34 A.M. officers of the Warner Robins Police Department were dispatched to 514 North Davis Drive (Pop’s Food Mart) in reference to a burglary in progress.

While en route to the business, officers were advised the male seen exiting the closed store got inside a vehicle with another person and left the area.  Officers were given a description of the car and were able to make contact with it at the intersection of Chris Drive and Ignico Drive.

After a brief struggle the male, identified as James Wesley Morgan (35 years old, Warner Robins), was taken into custody.  The female passenger, identified as Lisa Marie Roberts (32 years old, Warner Robins), was also taken into custody.

James Wesley Morgan was charged with Burglary, Fleeing or Attempting to Elude, Open Container Violation in Motor Vehicle, Remove/Affixing License Plate With Intent To Conceal, Obstruction of An Officer, Reckless Driving, and Driving While License Expired in connection with this incident.

Lisa Marie Roberts (32 years old, Warner Robins) was charged with Party To The Crime of Burglary in connection with this incident.

Robbery at 912 Russell Parkway

On Friday, April 27, 2012 at 11:29 A.M. officers of the Warner Robins Police Department responded to 912 Russell Parkway, Unique Gifts and Games, in reference to a Robbery.

Preliminary investigation revealed a male came inside the business and robbed the clerk at gunpoint of an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene on foot. 

The suspect is described as a short black male wearing all dark clothing.

911 Call Reference Man With A Gun

On Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 2:07 P.M. officers of the Warner Robins Police Department responded to 1806 Russell Parkway (Master Cleaners) in reference to a male with a handgun. 

Preliminary investigation reveals a white male approached a female employee, threatened her with a handgun, and fled the scene in a vehicle.  The vehicle is described as a dark colored SUV.  

No injuries were reported.
