"I would like to Commend officer Neese for apprehending the thief who stole my wife’s phone. Upon realizing her phone was missing when she left CVS we called the WRPD and officer Neese came to our house to complete a police report.
We were able to provide him with tracking information concerning the whereabouts of the phone when the thief turned it on. After patiently getting the needed information from us, and even giving us time to call Verizon to get the serial number he left to investigate the last location of the phone.
On a hunch he decided to first go to the CVS where it went missing and to discuss the issue with the manager. When officer Neese left CVS he recognized an individual who was standing outside that matched the description of thief from the video evidence and from my wife’s testimony.
He questioned the man regarding the phone and was able to identify that he was indeed in possession of the phone. He promptly notified me that he had the phone and with my consent pressed charges and arrested him on the spot. All of this happened within 3 hours from the time the phone went missing.
Please let him know that we really appreciate his professionalism and helpfulness in solving this crime. Because of his intuition we will not have to incur the expense and inconvenience of replacing her phone."
