2012 Officer Of The Year Named

Lieutenant Lee VanOsdol was named the 2012 Warner Robins Police Department Officer of the Year.

Lieutenant VanOdsol serves as squad commander for Squad 1.  He leads with clear direction and discipline tempered with common sense and compassion.  His interactions with citizens demonstrate to the officers under his charge the proper way to be a police officer.  Lieutenant Vanosdol treats all department employees, sworn and unsworn, daily, equally and respectfully, regardless of rank or social standing.

Lieutenant VanOsdol is an anchor for the Special Weapons and Tactics Team.  He faces each mission with confidence and assurance.  He maintains calm in any situation.  He is a proven team leader, tactician and trainer.

His concern for the employees goes beyond the job.  When one of our own is suffering illness or unfortunate circumstances Lieutenant VanOsdol seeks to help in any way he can.  His dedication and concern for people also carries over to his personal life.  On several occasions he and his wife have opened their home to children and young adults who were experiencing turmoil in their lives.

Lieutenant VanOsdol is an example to all who wear the badge of the Warner Robins Police Department and law enforcement personnel everywhere.

Congratulations for this well deserved honor!
