Incident: Aggravated Assault
Date/Time of Incident: April 29, 2015/ approximately 4PM
Location: 1300 block of Alma Avenue
UPDATE: Our officers continue to investigate the Aggravated Assault that occurred on the 1300 block of Alma Avenue on April 29, 2015.
We do not know if either victim has been released from the hospital, and because one victim was a juvenile we will not be releasing his name.
The other victim that received scratches and scrapes was 19 year old Diaquaveous Young.
Today investigators conducted a 3D scan of the scene. These images will help us recreate the crime scene at the police department, without having to be on Alma Avenue.
Detectives are following several leads and interviewing several witnesses. However, many witnesses are not being cooperative which complicates our investigation.
We will be increasing patrol in that area, and urge anyone with information who may have see or heard anything to contact our department at (478) 302-5380.
Wednesday, April 29, 2015 officers responded to the 1300 block of Alma Avenue in reference to a person with a gunshot wound. Our detectives have determined that there was a large group of people gathered on the 1300 block of Alma Avenue and at some point multiple people started shooting.

A 16 year old male was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg. His injuries are not considered life threatening.
An 19 year old female was treated for scrapes and scratches. Her injuries were not apparent gun shot wounds.
Our officers are still investigating what the large group was doing before the shots were fired.
