Teen Struck by Car Transported to Hospital
At approximately 1PM on Monday, February 27, 2017 officers responded to the intersection of Watson Boulevard and Houston Lake Road in reference to a pedestrian that was struck by a vehicle.
The vehicle carrying a 13 year old male was traveling west on Watson Boulevard when it turned onto South Houston Lake Road. The teenager was not restrained in the vehicle and the turn momentum pushed him toward the door, which gave way. As a result, he fell into the roadway.
He was then struck by a vehicle that was traveling behind.
The victim sustained injuries to the head and leg. He was conscious and alert before being transported to The Medical Center Naviscent Health.
The Warner Robins Police Department Traffic Unit is investigating the incident.
