Arrest Made in Jus One More Double Shooting
At approximately 5PM on March 14, 2017 the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office along with the Houston County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Division and the U.S. Marshalls Office arrested 26 year old Travis Bernard Thomas Jr. in a residential area in Jasper County South Carolina.
Thomas was taken into custody without incident. Detectives with the Warner Robins Police Department are in Jasper County and will be conducting interviews with Thomas.
The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office is holding Thomas until the Houston County Sheriff’s Office can make arrangements to transport him back through extradition. Extradition will be handled through the District Attorney’s Office and the Houston County Sheriff’s Office.
Travis Bernard Thomas Jr. will not be formally charged until he is extradited back to Warner Robins. His charges will be 2 counts of Murder, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime, 2 Counts of Aggravated Assault.
Any additional charges will be determined by the District Attorney’s Office.
At approximately 1:01AM on Thursday, March 2, 2017 officers responded to the Jus One More at 4993 Russell Parkway Suite 100 in reference to shots fired and an active shooter situation.
A 24 year old Kenny Odel Hart Jr. of Warner Robins and a 26 year old Jabrial Odeal Adams of Warner Robins both suffered at least one gunshot wound to the chest area and were pronounced deceased.
At this time officers believe a fight broke out before shots were fired.
The case is still under investigation. Detective Shane Mann is leading the investigation.
