Location: Railroad tracks at the intersection of Green St. and Hwy 247
Woman Hit By Train Dies
At approximately 12:45AM officers responded to the intersection of Green Street and Highway 247 in reference to a person struck by a train.
Our investigation so far tells us that a 22 year old woman was laying on the tracks when the train struck her.
She was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the victim is not being released at this time, pending notification of next of kin.
The case is still under investigation. The Warner Robins Police Traffic Unit is investigating this incident.
