Reminder of Georgia's Firework Laws

With Independence Day approaching there will no doubt be many setting off fireworks.  Here are a few things to keep in mind.

Fireworks are allowed by Georgia state law to be set off:

EVERYDAY from 10AM-9PM
On July 3rd and July 4th from 9PM-Midnight.

***This is a state law, and cannot be changed by a city municipality.***

You CANNOT set off fireworks within 100 yards of a:

Hospital
Nursing Home
Prison
Nuclear Power Plant
Gas Station or Refinery
Water Treatment Plant

It is also illegal to use fireworks while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.

The City of Warner Robins has secured a special permit from the state and will have a fireworks show during their Independence Celebration on Friday, June 30th at approximately 10PM at the McConnell Talbert Stadium parking lot.
