Incident: Involuntary Manslaughter, Reckless Conduct
Location: 100 block of Franklin Square
Date/Time: September 29, 2018 at approximately 2:15AM
At approximately 2:15AM on September 29, 2018 officers responded to a residence on the 100 block of Franklin Square in reference to a shots fired call.
A 24 year old male sustained a single gunshot wound to the head and died at the scene.
23 year old Austin James was arrested and charged with Involuntary Manslaughter and Reckless Conduct. Detectives believe the two men knew each other and were playing with a gun at the time of the incident. At this time officers believe alcohol may have played a factor in this incident.
