Animal Control Receives Grant from Dept. of Agriculture

Event: WRPD Receives GA Dept. of Agriculture Grant for Animal Control


The Warner Robins Police Department was awarded a $3000 grant from the Georgia Department of Agriculture in an effort to help spay an neuter dogs and cats that are adopted from our animal shelter by Georgia residents. 

Georgia residents that adopt dogs and/or cats from the Warner Robins Animal Control will be eligible to receive free spay and neuter services, because of the grant. 

Our team has partnered with Critter Fixer Veterinary Hospital at 102 Starlight Drive in Bonaire, Georgia and Southwood Animal Hospital at 2523 Moody Road.  

Georgia Department of Agriculture Commissioner Gary W. Black is excited to announce the issuance of $425,000 in grants to assist with spaying and neutering Georgia’s companion animals. Out of 133 applicants, 71 state licensed animal shelters and animal rescue organizations were awarded the grants, 23 of those are in the Middle Georgia are.
