Please note that over the weekend our officers responded to 46 Domestic calls.

These calls can be very unpredictable and dangerous at times.

For example, at approximately 9:08PM Sunday night our officers responded to a residence on the 200 block of Chadwyck Circle in reference to a Domestic Dispute call. Our officers and supervisors on scene were able to get the victims out of the home and convince the suspect to come out of the attic where he had been hiding.

Officers gained information from inside the home that the suspect was armed and considered dangerous. The suspect told officers he did not want to go back to prison. He also indicated that he intended to hurt himself or responding officers.

Our hostage negotiator and SWAT team were deployed to the residence. Great job to all officers involved that were able to use your extensive training and negotiating skills to achieve a peaceful outcome to a potentially life changing incident. The suspect was taken into custody, no one was injured.
