Incident: Burglary/ Shots Fired

Date/Time: March 22, 2019/ approximately 6:45AM
UPDATE: Today Investigators charged 22 year old Toshwa Dewayne Hodges with Aggravated Assault and Burglary in connection with the incident at 703 Watson Boulevard on March 22nd.
Hodges was arrested at the Sunoco at 1401 Watson Boulevard on April 2nd for an active warrant. That day he was also charged with Theft by Receiving Stolen Property, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. Through the evidence collected at the scene and interviews conducted by detectives Hodges was found to be the suspect in the shooting at Subway on March 22nd.

At approximately 6:45AM officers responded to a Burglary with shots fired at the Subway located at 703 Watson Boulevard.
The suspect, described as a black male approximately 5’8”-5’10” dressed in all black, was burglarizing the store when an employee arrived to open up the store. As the suspect was exiting the building he shot at the employee in their vehicle, striking the vehicle at least one time. No one was injured.
Officers conducted a K9 track of the area, which led to the parking lot of the Rosemont Court Apartments. Officers believe the suspect may have fled in a vehicle parked in that parking lot.
