Police Week 2014 Candlelight Vigil

Every year during National Police Week we take the time to honor those law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty.  This year the event was hosted by Southside Baptist Church. 

In 2013 - 7 law enforcement officers and 3 active duty military members died.

Houston County District Attorney George Hartwig offered some great and inspiring words during the vigil.

Police Week Opening Ceremony

The opening ceremonies for Police Week 2014 was held at the Warner Robins Law Enforcement Center this morning.  

In 1962 - President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation marking May 15th as Peace Office Memorial Day and the week as Police Week.

This week is celebrated across the nation to honor those that have given their lives in the line of duty. We also honor those that faithfully serve everyday to protect our friends and family.

Police Week 2014 5K Run/Walk

ATTENTION ALL RUNNERS!

Police Week 2014 is coming up and a 5K Run/Walk will be hosted by the Defender's Council as a charity fundraiser to benefit the families of fallen officers.
