100 Days of Summer Heat

Major Wagner representing the WRPD at the press conference
This morning local law enforcement agencies stood in support for the upcoming One Hundred Days of Summer HEAT.  This campaign is being launched by the Governor's Office of Highway Safety in Georgia (GOHS).

Summer HEAT is designed to reduce fatality crashes on Georgia's highway systems by targeting speeders around Georgia's metropolitan areas.

According to the GOHS, on an average, 29 people die in motor vehicle crashes in Georgia every week.  The crashes that kill, maim and injure thousands of Georgians each year are preventable.

The Warner Robins Police Department is dedicated to the enforcement of traffic laws to keep the streets of Warner Robins safe.
