We love hearing about our officers and the great job they are doing to serve our community. Here is another commendation that warmed our hearts.
"Good afternoon!
I live on Carolina Avenue in Warner Robins and have noticed increased patrols in our area.
I wanted to thank you as I believe more police cars seen will decrease the possibility of crime in my neighborhood.
Also, a couple months ago a suspected burglar was apprehended on Virginia. I do not know the names of the officers, but they did an awesome job and were very diligent to find the suspect. I saw several police vehicles searching the area for quite some time.
The funny thing was that my 3 year old grandson was at my house and when we saw the police cars, we went outside. He said "Let's go help the policemen Grandaddy." To which I replied, "I think they have it under control and do not need our help." LOL!
We may be raising a future law enforcement officer!
I thank you for having a wonderful police force and such greta law enforcement officers in Warner Robins."

WR Church of Christ Says Thank You
"It is with sincere gratitude and appreciate that we recognize the following Warner Robins Police Department Officers: Robert Broussard, Darren Johnson, Nick Taylor, Scott Webb, and Detective Shane Mann, for their professionalism and service to the Warner Robins community.
On the night of March 30, 2014, the Warner Robins church of Christ building was burglarized and church property was stolen and damaged. The diligent observation of the officers involved identified the suspects, which led to their subsequent arrest, and the recovery of the church's property.
The officers conducted themselves in a very professional manner and assisted the responding church leaders by reviewing and explaining the crime scene and police procedures.
On behalf of the entire congregation, we the elders would like to thank these officers for their service and dedication to duty."

Sergeant Goes Above And Beyond
We received these very kind words about Sergeant Tim Gray and is commitment to serve. Great job Sergeant Gray!
"I want you to know that Sergeant Tim Gray went above and beyond the call of duty by going into an area which some might say is looking for a needle in a haystack! In my case it was my daughter's phone that had been stolen at an event for Big Brothers & Sisters held on Robins where she volunteered as a Beta Club representative. Sergeant Gray was a God send and we are eternally grateful for all that he did for our family. He located my daughter's phone!! WRPD is truly blessed to have Sergeant Time Gray on the FORCE…
Sincerely,
Cheryl & Taylor McClendon"

Great Job Officers!
Do you remember the Burglary In Progress arrests the other day?
Several officers responded to the call and did a great job!
Letter of Commendation for: Captain Bryan Stewart, Lieutenant Mike Vandunse, Sergeant Malcolm Miller, Sergeant Eddie Wilcox, Sergeant Wayne Fisher, Detective Jeff Herb, Detective Justin Clark, Officer Matt Smith, Officer Pat Allen, Officer Paul Peck, Officer Trent Vanlannen, Officer Kristen Morgan, Officer Steve Warmack, Officer Thomas Lee, & Officer Brandon Underwood.
"On March 18, 2014 all the officers listed responded to 712 Katherine Street in reference to a burglary in progress. The units were advised that the suspects were two black males that had just left the residence in question carrying a television and other items. One suspects was reported to be wearing a black shirt and the other a grey hoodie. Detective Herb spotted two suspects fitting the description standing inside the wood line at the park on Scott Boulevard. He advised the marked units of the the suspects' location and then took a position to intercept the suspects when they ran. Officers Smith and Underwood responded to the location which sparked a brief foot pursuit. The suspects ran directly towards Detective Herb, at which point they were taken in custody by Detective Herb and Sergeant Wilcox. Both suspects, David Brown and Tyjae Morgan, were identified by the witness on Katherine Street. A concealed firearm was also found in the possession of Morgan. A brief backtrack of the suspects' path revealed several items that were confirmed by Officer Patrick Allen (who had responded to secure the scene) to have been stolen from 721 Katherine Street.
At approximately the same time, Lieutenant Mike Vandunse, who responded to assist, learned from the resident in the area that a black male wearing black had been seen exiting the woods near the Warner Robins Little Theater and running across South Pleasant Hill Road. Sergeant Malcolm Miller also responded to the area. Sergeant Wayne Fisher responded with his K-9 partner, Ego, and conducted a brief dog track. During this time, Sergeant Miller found a bag of rare coins in the wood line where the suspect had been seen. The coins were later confirmed stolen from 712 Katherine Street. Further investigation by Lieutenant Vandunse and Sergeant Miller revealed the suspect most likely went to 499 South Pleasant Hill Road. Upon arrival there, they learned that a 14 year old male had just entered the house and changed clothes. Detective Herb responded to that location and was able to recover the clothing that matched the description. Detective Herb's interview of the juvenile also obtained an admission from the juvenile that he had been in possession of the stolen coins, although he denied involvement in the burglary.
The incident resulted in two adult suspects being charged with Burglary and Obstruction of Officers, and one of the adults being charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime. The juvenile suspect was charged with Theft by Receiving, and due to his history, was detained by the Houston County Juvenile Division pending a hearing.
I would like to commend all the officers involved in the incident, as I believe this is a perfect example of how teamwork, combined with competent police work, resulted in the apprehension of three suspects that were involved in at least one residential burglary. The officers efforts also resulted in the victim's stolen items being returned to him almost immediately. Their performance on this day helped to shine a positive light on the Warner Robins Police Department and was a credit to this agency."

Traffic Accidents Are Never Fun
Being involved in a traffic accident is never a pleasant experience. We received a wonderful call into WRPD headquarters yesterday that expressed sincere appreciation for one of our officers who responded to her accident.
A woman called to commend Officer Broussard about a traffic accident that he worked on October 4th.She said that she was extremely upset from the accident and that Officer Broussard was very professional and kind to her.
She felt that Officer Broussard was the reason she was able to get calmed down and deal with the situation.
We really appreciate the kind words about our officers!

Officer Commendation
We received a great commendation for another one of our offices! Thank you for sharing your story with us!
"I would like to Commend officer Neese for apprehending the thief who stole my wife’s phone. Upon realizing her phone was missing when she left CVS we called the WRPD and officer Neese came to our house to complete a police report.
We were able to provide him with tracking information concerning the whereabouts of the phone when the thief turned it on. After patiently getting the needed information from us, and even giving us time to call Verizon to get the serial number he left to investigate the last location of the phone.
On a hunch he decided to first go to the CVS where it went missing and to discuss the issue with the manager. When officer Neese left CVS he recognized an individual who was standing outside that matched the description of thief from the video evidence and from my wife’s testimony.
He questioned the man regarding the phone and was able to identify that he was indeed in possession of the phone. He promptly notified me that he had the phone and with my consent pressed charges and arrested him on the spot. All of this happened within 3 hours from the time the phone went missing.
Please let him know that we really appreciate his professionalism and helpfulness in solving this crime. Because of his intuition we will not have to incur the expense and inconvenience of replacing her phone."
