On Sunday afternoon Officer Tambourakis responded to a medical emergency call where a man was not breathing. Ofc. Tambourakis was first on scene and was able to use his Automatic External Defibrillator machine from his patrol vehicle. After deploying his AED he continued CPR until EMS arrived.
The man had a heartbeat and was breathing when he was transported by ambulance to the hospital. Great Job Ofc. Tambourakis!
Thank you to all of you that participated in the 2017 and 2018 Back the Blue Glow Run, because of each of you we were able to purchase those AEDs for our patrol vehicles, which allowed Ofc. Tambourakis the opportunity to help save a man's life.
