On Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 8:00 A.M. a road race will commence benefitting Father's Day. The race will assemble, begin and end at Southside Baptist Church.
The roads affected will be as follows:
Bass Road
Tucker Road
Kathryn Ryals Road
S. Houston Lake Road (sidewalk)
Please use caution if you are driving in this area during the morning hours.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Special Olympics Torch Run
Members of the Warner Robins Police Department will be participating in the annual Special Olympic Torch Run on Wednesday, May 21, 2014.
The Torch Run is designed to raise awareness about the Special Olympics in our community. The Special Olympics promotes building self esteem and confidence in special needs citizens.
Beginning at 10:00 A.M. - the route will begin at the intersection of Houston Lake Road and Feagin Mill Road. They will continue down Houston Lake Road until they reach Watson Boulevard.
The route will then turn onto Watson Boulevard and end at the Warner Robins Law Enforcement Center (100 Watson Boulevard).
The torch will be passed to members of the Department of Defense.
The event is expected to be completed at approximately 11:30 A.M..

March 2014 Citizen Police Academy

The Warner Robins Police Department is now registering for the Spring 2014 Citizen Police Academy. The Academy is a 12-week program that gives participants an opportunity to gain a better understanding of the responsibilities and challenges of the police profession.
Participants will learn about several areas of law enforcement such as the hiring process, investigations division, SWAT team, use of force and firearms. Participants will also experience some of the training associated with police work and ride with patrol officers on duty.
Participants do not have to be a citizen of Warner Robins to be in Citizen Police Academy.
The Academy will be on Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. beginning March 6th and continue through May 22nd. The Warner Robins Police Department Training Center, located at 212 Stalnaker Avenue, will host the event.
The classes are free.

Department officers are currently investigating reported shots fired at 501
Booth Road (Murphy Oil).
Officers are looking for two black males. Descriptions of the suspects will be
released as they become available.
One person has been injured as a result of this
incident.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked
to contact 911.
UPDATE – January 23, 2014
The
victim, a male, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
This
case is now considered to be an active homicide investigation.
