Homicide

On May 29, 2014 at 7:22 P.M. officers of the Warner Robins Police Department responded to 211 Utah Avenue in reference to shots fired.

Preliminary investigation revealed a male, Marcus Hopkins (34 years old, Warner Robins), was shot in the front yard of the residence by another male.

Hopkins was transported to a Macon hospital where he was later pronounced deceased by medical personnel.

Further investigation revealed that Jade Danielly (22 years old, Macon) drove a car to 211 Utah Avenue and shot Hopkins. Officers observed the car in the area and followed the car to Tanglewood Apartments (1005 Elberta Road) where Danielly was arrested.

Danielly was transported to the Warner Robins Law Enforcement Center were he was charged with Murder, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.   He will be transported to the Houston County jail.

This incident is still an active investigation.

Homicide Investigation

On Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 12:56 A.M. officers of the Warner Robins Police Department responded to the Houston Medical Center in reference to a male with a possible gunshot wound.

Later it was determined that the male, Antonio Miller (33 years old, Warner Robins), had sustained a knife wound to the chest.

Officers were able to determine that the actual incident occurred at 106 Memorial Terrace.  Further investigation revealed that Miller and another male, Larry Tennyson (46 years old, Warner Robins), were involved in a confrontation inside an apartment when Miller was stabbed in the chest.

Miller was transported to the Houston Medical Center by an acquaintance.  He was later transported by ambulance to the Medical Center of Central Georgia where he was pronounced deceased by medical personnel.

No charges have been filed at this time.

Murphy Oil Homicide - UPDATE




Detectives are releasing a picture of a vehicle that may be involved in the homicide investigation at Murphy USA Oil on January 23, 2014.

The vehicle is described as a blue Chevrolet Tahoe.

Investigators would like to speak with the owner of this vehicle.  They are also interested in speaking with anyone who may know of any person that has been seen operating the vehicle. 

No other information about this investigation will be released at this time.

Warner Robins Police Department officers are currently investigating reported shots fired at 501 Booth Road (Murphy Oil). 

Officers are looking for two black males.  Descriptions of the suspects will be released as they become available.

One person has been injured as a result of this incident.

UPDATE – January 23, 2014

The victim, a male, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

This case is now considered to be an active homicide investigation.

Homicide Investigation


On Thursday, October 2013 at 9:48 P.M. officers of the Warner Robins Police Department responded to 324 Curtis Street in reference to a deceased person.

Upon arrival officers located a female inside the vacant house deceased. 

The female’s identity is being withheld until the next of kin is notified.

This incident is being investigated as a homicide.

No other information is available at this time and will be released as it becomes available.

Homicide Investigation



On Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 3:21 P.M. officers of the Warner Robins Police Department responded to the 100-block of Demetree Drive in reference to a gunshot wound. 

Preliminary investigation reveals a male was on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper leg.  He was transported to the Houston Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased by medical personnel.

Homicide Investigation


On Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 10:52 P.M. officers of the Warner Robins Police Department responded to 101 Woodcrest Circle, Apt 14A, in reference to a person with a gunshot wound.

Preliminary investigation revealed the victim, identified as Joel Taylor (25 years old, Warner Robins), was inside his apartment when two black males forced the door open.  One of the males shot Taylor multiple times. 

Taylor was transported to the Houston Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased by medical personnel.

Homicide Investigation - 2 Arrests Made


On Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 8:05 P.M. officers of the Warner Robins Police Department responded to 906 Crestwood Terrace in reference to a male with a gunshot wound.

Preliminary investigation revealed Keith Moses (38 years of age, Warner Robins) was shot once in the chest while inside the residence. Police are seeking four black male suspects that were seen leaving the residence in a white four door car. 

Moses was transported to the Medical Center of Central Georgia where he was pronounced deceased at 4:58 A.M.

Update - August 9, 2012

A continuing investigation lead to two arrests in connection with the homicide incident on August 2, 2012 at 906 Crestwood Terrace.

Information and evidence obtained by the Warner Robins Police Department Criminal Investigations Division led to the arrest of Tyrone Lamark Davis (23 year of age, Warner Robins) and Bobby Jermel Releford (23 years of age, Warner Robins) in connection with the above incident.  Both Davis and Releford are charged with Felony Murder.

Both are being held at the Houston County Jail.  

The United States South Eastern Fugitive Task Force arrested Davis on August 7th and Releford on August 8th.  

The investigation is still ongoing.

Homicide Investigation


Robert Lee Gill, Jr.
On Monday, June 18, 2012 at 5:57 P.M. officers of the Warner Robins Police Department responded to the 104 of Industrial Park Boulevard in reference to an unconscious male. 

Preliminary investigation revealed Terry Lynn Carson (41 years of age, Hawkinsville) and Robert Lee Gill, Jr. (45 years of age, Fort Valley) were fighting when Gill struck Carson in the head with a piece of wood.  Gill then fled the scene. 

On Tuesday, June 19th a warrant for Aggravated Battery was signed for Robert Gill.  He turned himself into the Warner Robins Police Department the same day.  He is in the Houston County jail without bond.

Carson was transported to the Medical Center of Central Georgia due to a severe head injury.  On Wednesday, June 20th, Terry Carson died as a result of his injuries.  This incident is being investigated as a Homicide.  The case has been referred to the Houston County District Attorney’s Office for upgrading the charges against Gill to include Felony Murder.

Assault Incident Turns Into Homicide Investigation



On Monday, June 4, 2012 at 9:19 P.M. officers of the Warner Robins Police Department responded to 514 North Davis Drive (Pop’s Food Mart) in reference to a fight. 

Preliminary investigation revealed two males were seen fighting inside the store.  One of the males flees the store before officers arrive on scene.  The victim, Dahyalal Amin, (66 years of age, Warner Robins), received head injuries during the altercation.  Amin is employed as a clerk of Pop’s Food Mart.  He was taken to the Medical Center of Central Georgia.  He is considered in critical condition. 

The suspect is described only as a black male.  Further description of the male is unavailable.

Update – June 8, 2012

Continued investigation lead to the arrest of Howard Allen (67 years of age, Warner Robins).  He is charged with Aggravated Battery in connection with this incident.  Investigators determined he was the one who assaulted Dahyalal Amin.


Allen is in the Houston County jail.  Amin is still in critical condition at the Medical Center of Central Georgia.

Update – June 11, 2012

Dahyalal Amin was pronounced deceased on Friday, June 8, 2012.  An autopsy conducted on Monday, June 11th concluded the cause of death to be blunt force trauma to the head and the manner of death to be Homicide. 

The case has been turned over to the Houston County District Attorney’s Office to upgrade Howard Allen’s charge to Felony Murder. 

Allen is still in the Houston County jail.

2011 Officer of the Year

Detective Wright
Detective Mark Wright of the Warner Robins Police Department Criminal Investigations Division has been named the 2011 Officer of the Year.

Detective Wright is a 19-year veteran in the department and a 10- year veteran in Criminal Investigations.  Mark has served in several divisions in the agency and is an asset in preparing the younger generation of detectives.

He lead two of the five Homicide investigations in 2011.  He demonstrated experience, leadership, and patience during his investigations and arrested each individual involved.  His skills were challenged in each investigation but he exceeded in every aspect and prepared the cases for prosecution.

Detective Wright has been an example of an outstanding employee and friend to many in the department for 19-years.  He is truly deserving to be named Officer of the Year.

Congratulations!
