Synthetic Marijuana

This week Georgia Governor Nathan Deal signed SB 370 banning all forms of synthetic marijuana within the state of Georgia.

This substance has marijuana-like chemical compounds that were legally being sold in convenience stores throughout Georgia before the new legislation was signed. The substance comes in many different packages and has several different names.

Officers of the Warner Robins Police Department are aware of the new law and are taking steps to enforce it. Officers of the Narcotics Intelligence Unit and the Patrol Division have been instructed to help educate local businesses of the new law and will be checking for violations.

As of Friday, March 30th no violations have been observed. Officers will continue to check businesses to ensure compliance with the new law.
