Serious Injury Traffic Collision

On Friday, July 27, 2012 at 8:44 P.M. officers of the Warner Robins Police Department responded to the intersection of Watson Boulevard and Carl Vinson Parkway in reference to a traffic accident with injuries.

Preliminary investigation revealed Timothy Laffin (27 years of age, Warner Robins) was riding a bicycle eastbound on Watson Boulevard and attempted to cross over to Carl Vinson Parkway.  A 1992 Ford Crown Victoria, driven by Shandreika Milton (24 years of age, Warner Robins), was traveling southbound on Carl Vinson Parkway and struck Laffin as he was attempting to cross.    

Laffin was transported to the Medical Center of Central Georgia.  He is listed in serious condition at this time.  No other injuries were reported. 

The investigation is ongoing.

Sexual Battery Investigation


In June 2012 members of the Warner Robins Police Department began investigating Jordan Thomas Monarch (24 years of age, Warner Robins) in relation to reported sexual battery incidents.

Further investigation determined Monarch utilized his cell phone camera to take nude pictures and videos of incapacitated victims without their knowledge or consent. 

On Thursday, July 19, 2012 Monarch was arrested and charged with Sexual Battery and Eavesdropping, Surveillance, or Intercepting Communications in connection with two known incidents.  He was transported to the Houston County Jail and was later released on bond.

Look Who We Ran Into The Other Day...

It's true what they say - every day in law enforcement is a new adventure.  You never know what challenges you face each day.

Officers were faced with a big challenge last week in terms of an alligator near the Warner Robins Animal Control facility off Highway 247.  Animal control officers, along with the help of the Training Division, were able to round him up without incident.

Aggravated Assault Under Investigation

On Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 3:32 P.M. officers of the Warner Robins Police Department responded to 805 Olmstead Street in reference to a male with a gunshot wound.

Preliminary investigation revealed a male had been shot in the lower abdomen.  He was taken to the Medical Center of Central Georgia.  He is in stable condition at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.  More information will be released as it becomes available.

Serious Injury Traffic Collision

On Friday, July 20, 2012 at 11:43 P.M. officers of the Warner Robins Police Department responded to 700 North Davis Drive in reference to a traffic accident with injuries.

Preliminary investigation revealed Antonio Duncan (4 years of age, Warner Robins) was walking with a parent when he ran into the road.  He was struck by a 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier, operated by Sammie Dinkins (52 years of age, Warner Robins), as he was crossing the road. 

The juvenile was taken to the Medical Center of Central Georgia where he is listed in critical condition. 

The investigation is ongoing.

New Class Dates for Civilian Firearms Training for Men

The Warner Robins Police Department is offering basic handgun classes for men in July 2012.  There are three sessions to each class.  Participants must attend all three classes.  Topics include Georgia law relating to private ownership and carry of handguns, handgun safety, handgun selection and maintenance, and the basics of shooting a handgun. 

Classes are conducted at the Warner Robins Police Department Training Center located at 212 Stalnaker Avenue, Warner Robins.

Men’s Class
July 30th & 31th – 6:00 P.M. – 8:30 P.M.
August 4th – 8:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M.

Each student must bring a handgun of good quality and proper caliber, 50 rounds of ammunition, and eye and ear protection. 

This is a basic class designed for the individual with little to no experience with handguns.  The classes are free to participants.  To register for the class complete an application located at Wrpolice.org.

Serious Injury Traffic Collision Investigation

On Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at 1:12 P.M. officers of the Warner Robins Police Department responded to the intersection of Watson Boulevard and Corder Road in reference to a traffic collision with injuries.

Preliminary investigation revealed Donald Wood (62 years of age, Warner Robins), operating a Buick Century, was traveling westbound on Watson Boulevard and attempted to turned left at the same time Willie Farrell Jr (71 years of age, Warner Robins), operating a Chevy Silverado, was traveling eastbound on Watson Boulevard.  The two vehicles collided and Mr. Farrell was ejected from the vehicle. 

Both drivers were taken to the Medical Center of Central Georgia.  Mr. Farrell is listed in critical condition.  Mr. Wood is listed in serious condition.

Anonymous Tip Leads to Arrests in Armed Robbery Incidents

On Friday, June 29, 2012 at 8:05 A.M. officers of the Warner Robins Police Department responded to 2451 Watson Boulevard, Dollar General, in reference to a robbery.

Preliminary investigation revealed a white male approached a Dollar General employee as she was opening the store, threatened her with a handgun, and demanded money.  He took an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene on foot.  No injuries were reported. 

The suspect is described as white male, 40 years of age, approximately 6’0” in height and 200 pounds, and wearing a white shirt.

UPDATE - July 9, 2012



James Ray Ussery (36 years of age, Centerville, Georgia) was arrested on July 2, 2012 and charged with four counts of Armed Robbery in connection with the following incidents.

  1. June 28, 2012 armed robbery of the Waffle House located at 12021 Watson Boulevard Warner Robins, Georgia.
  2. June 29, 2012 armed robbery of the Dollar General located at 2451 Watson Boulevard Warner Robins, Georgia.
  3. June 23, 2012 armed robbery of a person located at 720 Carl Vinson Parkway (Parkway Memorial Gardens Cemetery) Warner Robins, Georgia.
  4. June 25, 2012 armed robbery at a Dollar General located at 15 Peach Road, Byron, Georgia
 
Kelli Leigh Proctor (35 years of age, Centerville, Georgia) was also arrested and charged with two counts of Party to the Crime of Armed Robbery in connection with two of the above- mentioned robberies.

1.      June 28, 2012 armed robbery at 12021 Watson Boulevard (Waffle House) Warner Robins, Georgia.
2.      June 25, 2012 armed robbery at 15 Peach Road, Byron, GA

Warner Robins Police Department and Peach County Sheriff’s Department Detectives conducted a joint investigation of the incidents and secured arrest warrants for Ussery and Proctor. 

Members of the United States Marshal South- East Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Mr. Ussery in Effingham County, Georgia without incident.  He was transported to the Houston County Jail.  Ms. Proctor surrendered to Warner Robins Police on Friday, July 6, 2012.  She was transported to the Peach County Jail.    

Investigators were able to establish investigative leads during the course of the investigation due to a submitted tip through the Warner Robins Police Department’s TipSubmit service that helped identify Mr. Ussery as being responsible for the above mentioned robberies.

Armed Robbery - Update


On Monday, July 02, 2012 at 9:59 A.M. officers of the Warner Robins Police Department responded to 504 North Davis Drive, Lee’s Clothing Locker, in reference to a robbery.

Preliminary investigation revealed two black males entered the store and demanded money.  One of the males was armed with a knife while the other was armed with a gun.  The store owner was stabbed in the upper thigh.  The suspects fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.  The victim was taken to the Houston Medical Center for treatment.  He is listed in stable condition.

Suspect descriptions are not available at this time.

The investigation is still ongoing.  More information will be released as it becomes available.
