On Wednesday,
August 29, 2012 at 6:30 P.M. officers of the Warner Robins Police Department
responded to 611 McArthur Boulevard in reference to a demented person.
A continued
investigation revealed a male, identified as Cliff Eugene Jacobs (43 years of
age, Warner Robins) began making threats toward law enforcement. The Warner Robins Police Department
Special Weapons and Tactics Team was activated at 7:55 P.M. to deescalate the
situation. Jacobs left in a silver
truck before the team was able to set up a perimeter.
Officers began
pursuing Jacobs. He led them into
Macon and eventually returned back to Warner Robins by way of Highway 247. The pursuit ended at the Houston
Medical Center parking lot where he was taken into custody without incident.
Jacobs is
currently at the Houston Medical Center for an evaluation.
The Houston
County Sheriff’s Office, Peach County Sheriff’s Office, Bibb County Sheriff’s
Office, Georgia State Patrol, Houston County EMS, and Warner Robins Fire
Department assisted in the incident.
