Traffic Fatality Investigation

On Friday, August 24, 2012 at 11:24 P.M. officers of the Warner Robins Police Department responded to the intersection of Linwood Drive and Wellborn Road in reference to a traffic accident with injuries.

Preliminary investigation revealed Jonathan Jerrod Stanley (27 years of age, Macon), operating a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe, was driving eastbound on Linwood Drive when he lost control of the vehicle causing it to flip.  The passenger, Tyeshia Everette (21 years of age, Macon), was ejected from the vehicle.

Everette was later pronounced deceased by medical personnel at the Houston Medical Center.

Stanley was arrested and charged with Vehicular Homicide (1^st degree), Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Open Container, Failure to Maintain Lane, & Reckless Driving.  He was transported to the Houston County jail.

The investigation is ongoing.
