WRPD Offers Basic Handgun Classes For Women in Octover



The Warner Robins Police Department is offering two basic handgun classes for women in October.  

There are three sessions to each class.  Two sessions are conducted in the classroom.  The third session takes place on the shooting range.  

Participants must attend all three classes.  

Topics include Georgia law relating to private ownership and carry of handguns, handgun safety, selection, maintenance, and basic shooting.  

Classes are conducted at the Warner Robins Police Department Training Center located at 212 Stalnaker Avenue, Warner Robins.

Class dates:
Monday, 22 October 6-8:30 pm
Tuesday, 23 October 6-8:30 pm
Saturday, 27 October 8 – Noon

Tuesday, 30 October 6 – 8:30 pm
Thursday, 1 November 6 – 8:30 m
Saturday, 3 November 8 – Noon

Each student must bring a handgun of good quality and proper caliber, 50 rounds of ammunition, and eye and ear protection.  This is a basic class designed for the individual with little to no experience with handguns.  The classes are free to participants.  

Complete and submit the Civilian Firearms Training Application to register for one of the classes.
