Theft By Taking Arrests

On Monday, January 6, 2014 at 4:25 A.M. Sergeant Scott Webb of the Warner Robins Police Department observed a suspicious vehicle turning onto Radio Loop.  Sergeant Webb proceeded to check the businesses on Radio Loop when the car he previously saw pulled out of the parking lot of Chandler Collision and then drove off at a high rate of speed into the Wellston Ridge Apartment complex.  The occupants of the vehicle got out of the car and fled on foot.  Auto parts that belong to Chandler Collision were discovered inside of the car.

Sergeant Webb was able to apprehend one of the suspects, identified as Benjamin Neill (22 years old, Bonaire).  He was taken to the Warner Robins Law Enforcement Center where Detective Mark Wright of the Criminal Investigations Division interviewed him.  Neill was charged with Theft By Taking.

A continued investigation by Detective Wright revealed that a second person, identified as Samuel Rumph (38 years old, Warner Robins), was also involved in this incident.  He was arrested and charged with Theft by Taking.

Neill and Rumph were transported to the Houston County Jail.

This case remains an active investigation.
