Response to "America's 10 Most Dangerous Small Cities"

Movoto, a real estate website, recently named Warner Robins as one of “America’s 10 Most Dangerous Small Cities”.  We disagree with this distinction.  We do not believe that a one-year snapshot of crime statistics is an adequate measurement of how safe a city is.

The Warner Robins Police Department reports crime statistics to the Federal Bureau of Investigation every year and is published in the annual Uniform Crime Report.  The FBI cautions that the statistics should not be used to provide insight into a particular city, county, or state. There are many variables that can influence crime in any jurisdiction.

The same organization, Movoto, voted Warner Robins as one the “Best 10 Cities In Georgia” in 2013.  We have also enjoyed the distinction of being named as one of the “Best Places To Raise Your Kids” in 2009 & 2010 by Bloomberg Business Week.  We believe these distinctions are as true today as they were in years past.

We take great pride in our city as well as the men and women who faithfully serve our community to make it a safe place to live and raise a family.
