On April 15, 2014 at 9:58 P.M.
officers responded to 61 Lisa Drive in reference to a robbery.
Preliminary investigation revealed
a male robbed the victim by gunpoint and took several items from his person
including a cell phone. No
injuries were reported.
Upon arrival officers were told
the suspect had entered a nearby apartment. Officers made contact at the apartment and saw a male
inside. The victim provided
officers with the phone number to the stolen phone. Officers had Houston County E-911 call the stolen telephone
number and heard it ringing from inside the apartment.
The male, Denzel Cortez Rutledge
(18 years old, Warner Robins), was identified as the person who robbed the
victim. Rutledge was taken into
custody and charged with Armed Robbery.
He also has an extensive arrest history.
He is currently in the Houston
County jail.
