Police Week Opening Ceremony

The opening ceremonies for Police Week 2014 was held at the Warner Robins Law Enforcement Center this morning.

In 1962 - President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation marking May 15th as Peace Office Memorial Day and the week as Police Week.

This week is celebrated across the nation to honor those that have given their lives in the line of duty. We also honor those that faithfully serve everyday to protect our friends and family.

You can view all of the Georgia Line of Duty Deaths at http://www.odmp.org/search/browse/georgia.

Help us honor those that have given the ultimate sacrifice to protect our community, state, and nation.

A special thanks for Lou Crouch for all the great pictures.
