ABOUT K9 RASTY

Rasty is a seven year old German Shepherd.  He’s been with the Warner Robins Police Department for five years. He only responds to commands in Czechoslovakian. His handler, Sergeant James Bish was named 2014’s Officer of the Year. He is the first K9 with the Warner Robins Police to receive a safety protective vest.

“Its great that he’s getting a protective vest, because we deploy with the SWAT team and he’s more likely to face people that want to hurt him. Rasty is an officer just like I am, so it’s nice to have that protection.”  Said Rasty’s handler, Sergeant James Bish.
