Halloween Public Service Announcement

Please read this Public Service Announcement:

Trick or treating will be on Halloween. October 31st falls on a Saturday this year.

As always our agency does not have the authority to designate a different day for a holiday or enforce a certain time frame for trick or treating to occur.

We encourage you to be safe this Halloween, make sure your children wear something reflective, a blinking light or glow stick so that they can be seen by passing cars. We also encourage parents to check their children's candy before they eat it and toss out any pieces that have been opened.

The WRPD Haunted House will give out candy to trick or treaters on Saturday, October 31st from 5-6pm. This event is free, and we encourage older children and adults to stick around and try out our Haunted House from 7-11pm on Halloween night. Admission is $10 a person and all proceeds will go to the Joanna McAfee Childhood Cancer Foundation.
