Officers Identify Suspect in Magnolia Avenue Shooting
Officers have determined that there was one person responsible for the shooting on the 100 block of Magnolia Avenue at approximately 11:18PM on Wednesday, July 13, 2016. Detectives have identified the suspect, but to protect the integrity of the investigation we are not releasing the suspect's name at this time.
15 year old Ke-Asha Aukieva Smith suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen and was transported to Naviscent Health. She's listed in stable condition at this time.
21 year old Xavier Mandriez Chappell sustained a gunshot wound to the hip, 22 year old Ashley Cierra Perry received a gunshot wound to the lower leg, 24 year old Shaquitta Denise Swanson suffered a gunshot wound to the foot and 28 year old Joseph Chappell sustained a gunshot wound to the buttocks. All were treated at Houston Medical Center for non life threatening injuries.
Officers put up crime tape at the Houston Medical Center, because the victims drove personal cars to the hospital, therefore the parked vehicles became part of the crime scene.
