Location: 100 block of Magnolia Avenue
Officers are investigating an Aggravated Assault that occurred on the 100 block of Magnolia Avenue at approximately 11:18PM on Wednesday, July 13, 2016.
This is what we know right now:
Officers responded to an Aggravated Assault call involving gunshot wounds. Five people were shot at least once, at this time no injuries appear to be life threatening.
The wounded are 3 females and 2 males ranging in age from 15-28 years old. All were transported to the hospital. Some media outlets have reported that our agency is investigating a possible shooting at the Houston Medical Center this statement is FALSE. A shooting did NOT occur at the hospital.
At this time investigators believe there was a fight that occurred that may have led to the shooting.
