Incident: Traffic accident involving pedestrian 

Date/Time of incident: March 7, 2017/ approximately 7pm

Location: near Intersection of Watson Blvd. and Knodishall Dr.


At approximately 7PM officers responded near the intersection of Watson Boulevard and Knodishall Drive in reference to a traffic accident involving a pedestrian. 

Our investigation so far tells us that a 52 year old woman was driving a 2005 Nissan Maxima when it had a mechanical issue in the inside, westbound lane on Watson Boulevard. 

The woman got out of her car and popped the hood of the vehicle when her car was struck from behind by a Ford F-350 driven by a 70 year old man. 

At the time of the collision no emergency signals or lights were visible on the Nissan Maxima. 

Both the pedestrian, a passenger in the Nissan Maxima and the driver of the Ford F-350 were transported to the hospital. The pedestrian is listed in critical condition. 

Names of those involved are not being released at this time pending the notification of their family members. 

This incident is still under investigation by the Warner Robins Police Traffic Unit.
