Man Struck By Vehicle
At approximately 12:01AM officers responded to the intersection of Watson Boulevard and Knodishall Drive in reference to a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.
Our preliminary investigation reveals a 2004 Kia Sorento, driven by 27 year old Sha Rhonda Danielle McMath of Warner Robins was traveling west on Watson Boulevard in the right lane of traffic approaching Knodishall Drive when 53 year old Wallace Lawson entered her path of travel.
Mr. Lawson was crossing the roadway from the South to the North when he was struck by the vehicle. He was transported to the Houston Medical Center where he later died of his injuries.
Mr. Lawson, wearing dark clothing, crossed the roadway outside of a crosswalk and in a section of the roadway where no street lights are present.
The Warner Robins Police Department Traffic Unit is investigating this incident.
