Date/Time: August 13, 2017/approximately 4:03AM
Location: 200 block of Northlake Drive
At approximately 4:03AM officers responded to an apartment complex in the 200 block of Northlake Drive in reference to a Home Invasion with reports of shots fired.
At this time officers believe 24 year old Cartrell Brooks, armed with a handgun forced entry into the apartment where 26 year old Malandon West and 26 year old James Alderson were located.
When Mr. Brooks entered the residence he sustained at least one gunshot wound that was not self-inflicted. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
