Pedestrian Fatality
Officers of the Warner Robins Police Department were dispatched to Watson Blvd. at Austin Avenue in regards to a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle. According to witnesses and evidence, Thatius Thomas, (42) of Fort Valley GA was crossing Watson Blvd. at Austin Ave, walking north in the roadway. Dylan Welch, (22) of Byron GA, was traveling east on Watson Blvd. in the inside lane. Mr. Welch, operating a 2009 Dodge Ram 4500, struck Mr. Thomas. Mr. Thomas was pronounced deceased at the scene. No charges have been filed and the investigation is being led by Officer Tim Pippio.
