Burglary Investigation

On Sunday, May 13, 2012 at 9:53 P.M. officers of the Warner Robins Police Department responded to 1005 Elberta Road in reference to a burglary.  While en route, officers were advised the victim had shot one of the burglary suspects.

Preliminary investigation revealed the victim, Gabriel Duncan (18 years of age, Warner Robins), was inside his apartment when he heard and saw two males enter the apartment by forced entry.  Duncan approached the two males and began shooting at them.  The two males fled the apartment.

A short time later, the Houston County Sheriff’s Office received a call from the 100-block of Dixie Trail in reference to a male, Justin Gladden (20 years of age, Warner Robins), that had been shot in the back at 1005 Elberta Road.

Gladden was taken to the Medical Center of Central Georgia.  His injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

The gun Duncan used in the incident had an altered serial number.  He was arrested and charged with Criminal Use of Altered ID Mark.

The second suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6 feet tall, and approximately two hundred fifty pounds.

This incident is still under investigation.
