On Saturday, July 6, 2013
at 1:42 A.M. officers of the Warner Robins Police Department responded to 100
Mobley Court in reference to an unconscious male.
Preliminary investigation
revealed two brothers, identified as Joshua Vonsteenburgh (22 years old, Warner
Robins) and Jason Vonsteenburgh (34 years old, Warner Robins) had a verbal altercation
that turned physical. Officers
were advised Jason Vonsteenburgh struck Joshua Vonsteenburgh causing him to
fall and strike his head on the concrete driveway.
Joshua Vonsteenburgh was
transported to the Houston Medical Center and then later transported to the
Medical Center of Central Georgia for further treatment. He was pronounced deceased by medical
personnel on July 7th.
On July 6th
Jason Vonsteenburgh was arrested and charged with Aggravated Battery – Family
Violence. He is in the Houston
County jail.
The case will be turned
over to the Houston County District Attorney’s Office for further review.
