On
Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 4:44 P.M. officers of the Warner Robins Police
Department responded to 210 Southland Station Drive in reference to a male with
a gunshot wound.
Upon
arrival officers found a 19 year old male with a gunshot wound to the
head. He was transported to the
hospital where he was later pronounced deceased by medical personnel.
This
incident is still an active investigation. No suspects are being sought at this time.

UPDATE – March 14, 2014
Further
investigation by the Warner Robins Police Department Criminal Investigations
Division revealed that the victim, Aaron Taylor (19 years old, Elko), was
struck by a bullet from a gun that was in the possession of Marcus Dewayne
Sallette (19 years old, Warner Robins) inside of the apartment.
Sallette
was arrested and charged with Reckless Conduct and Involuntary Manslaughter in
connection with this incident.
Detectives
have determined the shooting was unintentional. The case will now be turned over to the Houston County
District Attorney’s Office for further review.
