Warner Robins Man Dies in Motorcycle Wreck

Incident: Fatal Traffic Accident Involving Motorcycle
Date/Time: September 27, 2016/ approximately 5:39PM
Location: intersection of N. Houston Road and Gawin Drive
At approximately 5:59PM on Tuesday; September 27, 2016 officers responded to the intersection of N. Houston Road and Gawin Drive in reference to a motorcycle versus minivan collision.
Our preliminary investigation reveals a 2007 Honda Odyssey operated by 40 year old Thedoshia Shelley of Warner Robins was traveling north on North Houston Road in the left lane at Gawin Drive. A 2003 Yamaha 600 motorcycle operated by 36 year old James Thomas Cole of Warner Robins was traveling south in the right lane approaching Gawin Drive.
The Honda Odyssey turned left attempting to enter Gawin Drive and entered the path of the traveling motorcycle.
The operator of the motorcycle, James Thomas Cole, was transported to the Houston Medical Center with serious injuries. He was pronounced deceased a short time later.
The operator of the minivan, Thedoshia Shelley was transported to the Medical Center at Navicent Health with non life threatening injuries. Five juveniles who were passengers in the minivan were also transported to The Medical Center Navicent Health with non life threatening injuries.
This case is still under investigation by Sgt. Randy Evans of the Warner Robins Police Department's Traffic Division.
