Incident: Fatal Traffic Accident

Officers are investigating a fatal one vehicle accident that occurred at approximately 12:21AM on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 on Russell Parkway at Red Fox Run.
The preliminary investigation revealed a 2004 Chevrolet Blazer traveling east on Russell Parkway left the roadway near the bridge. The vehicle then struck a speed limit sign, a street light pole and begin to roll. The vehicle caught fire and came to rest in the center median.
The driver, 24 year old Gary Earl Johnson was ejected from the vehicle. No one else was in the vehicle. Johnson was transported to The Medical Center Naviscent Health where he was pronounced deceased.
Officer Christopher Fussell is investigating the accident.
