The Warner Robins Police Department will provide traffic management and route security for the 2016 Warner Robins Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 3, 2016.
The parade route is reversed this year, here's what you need to know.
The parade will begin at Mcconnell-Halbert Stadium at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and South Davis Drive and conclude between the Houston health Pavilion (Old Houston Mall) on North Houston Road and Green Street.
To ensure the safety of the route, roads will be closed and detours will be in place.
Starting at 9AM South Davis Drive will be closed from MLK to Watson Boulevard. Watson Boulevard from Davis Drive to Corder Road and North Houston Road to Green Street will close at 9:45AM.
The parade begins at 10AM.
DETOUR LOCATIONS:
Eastbound traffic on Watson Boulevard will be diverted to Corder Road. Westbound traffic on Watson Boulevard will be rerouted to Commercial Circle and then to North Davis Drive.
In case of an emergency those needing to reach the Houston Medical Center can take Corder Road to Sunset or Russell Parkway to Pleasant Hill to Sunset.
Officers will be stationed along the route to provide assistance.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
**The Rear of the Houston Medical Pavilion will be for parade pick up ONLY.**
**Vehicles will NOT be allowed access to the parade route during the hours of 9AM and noon.**
**The use of drones or horses are prohibited along the parade route.**
