Pedestrian Fatality


On Monday, December 31, 2012 at 9:44 P.M officers of the Warner Robins Police Department responded to the 1300-block of Corder Road in reference to an accident with injuries.

Preliminary investigation reveals Daniel Moncrief (32 years old, Warner Robins) was walking in the roadway when he veered into the path of a white van, operated by George Henry (81 years old, Macon).

Moncrief was pronounced deceased at the scene. No other injuries were reported.

Officers did not detect any impairment with Henry.
           
The investigation is ongoing.

Pedestrian Fatality



On Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 4:58 A.M. officers of the Warner Robins Police Department responded to the intersection of Watson Blvd and Knodishall Dr in reference to vehicle vs pedestrian collision.

Preliminary investigation revealed Stephen Yeisley (51 years old, Warner Robins) was standing in the outside westbound lane of Watson Boulevard when a 2007 Dodge Dakota, operated by Helen Gavoe (63 years old, Warner Robins), was traveling westbound on Watson Boulevard at the same time. The two collided.

Yeisley was pronounced deceased at the scene by medical personnel.  No other injuries were reported.

Traffic Division Spotlight

The Warner Robins Police Department Traffic Division is entrusted with the enforcement of traffic laws and the investigation of serious injury/fatal motor vehicle collisions.  

Officer assigned to this division have state certifications for the operation of speed detection devices that include radar and Laser devices.

The officers also have specialized training and skills in the detection of impaired drivers and field sobriety testing.

Traffic Fatality Investigation

On Friday, June 22, 2012 at 7:57 A.M. officers of the Warner Robins Police Department responded to the intersection of Russell Parkway and Booth Road in reference to a traffic accident with injuries.

Preliminary investigation revealed a 1997 Ford Taurus, operated by Michael Sutton (44 years of age, Perry), was traveling westbound on Russell Parkway when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility pole. 

Sutton was transported to the Houston Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased by medical staff.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
