Police 2 Citizen

http://p2c.warnerrobinsga.gov/main.aspx

One of our more popular services - Police 2 Citizen (P2C).  This service combines information from the Warner Robins Police Department, the Houston County Sheriff's Office, the Centerville Police Department, and the Perry Police Department.  P2C launched in August 2010. Today, P2C has had over 150,000 visits.

P2C allows citizens to view and map police incidents, search for specific events, and obtain accident reports.  Citizens can also see Wanted and Missing Persons as well as a daily bulletin of the day’s events.  Accident reports can be obtained through this service free of charge.  Pertinent information must be provided to access accident reports.

The Warner Robins Police Department and the Houston County Sheriff’s Office submitted a joint application for the FY2008 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) program.  The WRPD and the HCSO used the grant money (valued at $11,962) toward the purchase of the P2C and Quartermaster modules for their local Records Management System.

This service is free to the public.  Take a look around and get familiar with all the special features.

Citizens can access P2C through the icon on our website at WRPolice.org.

Entering Auto Prevention

Automobile burglary, also known as entering autos, are becoming more common around Warner Robins.

Automobile burglaries are crimes of opportunities.  These crimes can be prevented by taking a few steps to make your car unattractive to potential criminals.  It only takes a second for criminals to get into your car - especially if it is unlocked.

Getting into the habit of securing your valuables and locking you doors can help
prevent you from becoming a victim
.

Prevention

· Don’t leave valuables visible in your car!

· Place valuables in your glove compartment or trunk.  If you can - make sure they are locked.

· Don’t leave shopping bags or packages in your back seat or passenger seat.  They can be easily viewed from the window.

· Don’t leave empty docking stations for your GPS, iPod, and other electronic
devices in your car.  They only tempt a potential criminal!

· ALWAYS LOCK YOUR DOORS! Many of the entering auto cases worked by detectives are the result of someone not locking their car doors.

Check out the 13 WMAZ story showing how easy it is to spot valuables in cars.
